For the record; I’ve loved the sexy appeal of style for a while now.
It started many moons ago during my teenage growing pangs of showing some skin for a bit of attention or just to appeal “grown”. I quickly learned by age 15 that looking too grown wasn’t so adorable and… the boys didn’t really give a hoot about what the heck I wore.
To my utter surprise, they would approach me whether or not I got well dressed up or looked shabby because well, ‘ boys will be boys’ and they frankly don’t care about what we ladies worry they care about. The genuine ones definitely cared more about personality and far beyond outward appearances; those ones I have learned to prefer over the boys that care about superficiality.
Anywho, as time passed, my interest in fashion increased and that gave me a new drive toward discovering more about my personal style. My alluring style tendencies certainly remained but over time that part of my style got honed into a more tasteful version (by my standards of course).
Since we humans discovered our ‘nakedness’ I do care about not appearing temptatious toward others, especially when I am in a more conservative setting with respect for whatever the occasion calls for. For example, I choose to keep things customary when fellowshipping at church with fellow believers or while visiting a country with very conservative expectations towards women’s dressing style.
Outside of such events, you can count on me to show some skin or curves here and there with no contrition. Don’t take it personally ever, it’s just fashion! 😉
Back to my “little black dress“, I love how breezy and roomy it feels. I hope to wear it again someday with sneakers or something, hmm.. I have a feeling it would look so cool!
