Have you heard of the saying: ” The warmer the summer, the higher my split? ” Ok, I haven’t heard of it either, I totally just made it up haha!

Seriously though, I don’t often wear sneakers, but this thigh-high slit skirt paired with my white flats was my vibe this past weekend while out and about enjoying these warm days in New York.

First I went to hang out with friends at a curly hair festival picnic event, it was live.  Then I hit up a block party where this beautiful music artist ‘Lil Mama ‘ performed for her fellow New Yorkers at a local Brooklyn neighborhood. I positioned myself right next to the podium with a great view while watching her give us all her electric energy and dopeness on stage. I mean it felt absolutely cool just chillin’ and enjoying that mini-concert and all the other festive moments at the block party.

I love New York City in the summer, there’s always something happening somewhere in almost every neighborhood from Brooklyn to Manhattan. So these two were just the events I made it out for, compared to many other day parties and festivities that took place all over the city that weekend.
