I’ll cut to the chase, in order to have a fabulous trip, you have to make arrangements with friends that have beautiful spirits, like these babes I am blessed to call my friends.
Booking a lodging for this London portion of our trip came easy. Oh, by the way, I’m that friend who just loves to have the responsibility of finding lodging because I love places that look a certain way and have certain amenities, and lucky me these two babes are not complicated in this area so picking a place we all loved was easy.
I found this and three other fab spots, presented my findings to the ladies, highlighting which one I loved and this one was the winner.
As soon as we walked in, we couldn’t stop gasping at the meticulously, well-decorated details of the place. We loved it!
( If you’re reading about this London trip first, note that this trip is a continuation of our mini Euro trip that began with us in Paris and by now we arrived in London via the train.)
As soon as we touched ground in London, we got refreshed and headed out to a fabulous dinner of exquisite dining at a restaurant called Ella Canta.
We ate, we laughed, talked about the trip thus far and oh yeah, we had 3 different cocktails because these people have mastered the art, it all tasted sooo yum I kid you not.
Let’s not even get started on the food, they did such a great job, from the flavors to its presentation, we were literally impressed.
And I tried cactus for the very first time and loved it! It tasted a bit slimy, reminding me of okra, which is already a part of my diet so I didn’t mind the okra like slimy effect.
And then came dessert .. ooooh! We each had our faves.
We slept well this night. And truly finally got to relax some after running around in Paris and still out and about with this dinner. We were starving by the time we ate these, and it was all worth the wait.
THE NEXT DAY
We had a slower start in the day and went our separate ways to do things, and then met up in the place we agreed on for lunch. A restaurant that boasts of traditional English cuisines, named The Gun.
Once again, we ate, drank, chatted about life, took some photos, I mean what else should one do while traveling right?
We went returned back to our lodging and relaxed at the apartment for a bit. Then headed back out into town again for some dessert at an ice-cream spot I discovered the first time I visited London back in February earlier in the year.
We just had a very chilled girls night out, walking the streets in that neighborhood called Shore Ditch.
We stopped and had dinner at the Peruvian restaurant I discovered, then stopped by a grocery store to pick up some fruits and snacks and I wanted eggs and milk for breakfast so we grabbed some things and went back to our fabulous flat.
THE NEXT DAY
We planned on experiencing the British people’s tea time so we had a tea brunch at the lounge in St. Ermin’s Hotel.
Oh my gosh, these scones came out hot fresh from the oven and tasted so yummy. It was definitely my fave of everything we ate there. I just love warm, freshly prepared baked goodies.
Later on that night, we had a fabulous time of appetizers and a few cocktails at The Gong inside the Shangri LA hotel, one of the fancy hotels in London. This one is worth it for the views of London’s bridge and an absolutely dopetastic view of the city from a top view.
This night was a hit! Filled with lots of giggles and girly chatters, and a few cocktails later we decided it was time to take off those heels and go look for some real dinner, ha! We had fun.
ON THE LAST DAY
We kept it more simple, snuck in a little bit of touristy sightseeing and then headed back to our lodging to pack our bags and check out.
Then we all went to Borough Market for our final lunch together, which I’d been wanting to stop by since we got to London and I spotted it during one of our cab rides. The beautiful marketplace just reminded me of one of my fave places in New York City called Union Square where you find farmers selling their produce, lots of good eats, and food trucks. Except this one was soo much better! And their food overall is healthy because it looks, smells and tastes more fresh and just real.
I tried this cheesy sandwich for the first time, so yummy and cheeeesy 🙂 we waited in line for it.
Not long after that I ate a shrimp wrap, then had a fresh green juice and ate a paella. I ate so much in less than an hour before leaving because everything tasted so delicious and fresh. I love fresh food.
This London trip was all about good food and great times, creating new, blessed memories with my friends and I’m so grateful for it all.
