Every wardrobe needs statement pieces to style awaken your collection as a whole or your outfit of the day. This striped jacket is my most recent statement piece.  Let me admit this first, when I spotted this jacket, it screamed buy me now! Hahaha.  But it looks so different from any piece currently in my collection and though I curiously wanted to try it on at the very least, the thought of somethings so fabulous having to potentially look not so great in person almost deterred me from buying it altogether.  I was a bit scared to try something new, image that huh. 

Nonetheless, I pressed forward, as all fashion stylists should do if they aim to stretch and grow out of style comfort zones, I bought it and waited patiently to try it on to see how it goes.

In regards to personal style, you have to give things a try and then make a decision. You shouldn’t judge the silhouette completely before trying it on because it may not look great on the hangar at the store or on the model online and until you try it on, then you’ll get the real verdict.  And if you like it better while on your body,  you can actually make it look great depending on how you decide to style it.

When the jacket arrived, I absolutely loved it on me, Yay! It goes that way with style, you limit yourself to growing in your stylish pursuits if you prejudge the outfits and pass on it before trying it on.

You can basically miss out on pieces that could easily elevate your personal style from blah to a yaaaas level! Hahahaha. Yes I seem a bit dramatic about this one as you can tell. Blame it all on my excitement over this different looking, fabulous, dramatically striped,

lightweight jacket.
