This trip started out as an attempted do-over to visit London again, but this time during the summer.

It ended up becoming a fun-packed girl’s trip making new memories with my girls.

So how did this Euro fling come together?

The same way any idea becomes a grand plan when ladies sit down, vibe and come up with one amazing idea after another, then in a matter of

seconds, we have a whole calendar full of plans to live our best life ever. Seriously, our brains just operate like this.

Ok I’ll tell you everything.

Fine almost everything, because telling everything would turn into a book in one blog post.

Remember back in February  when my friend Katherine and I planned to go to London, but God laughed at our plans like look at you little humans,

Ahahahahaha!

Honestly, I’m not exactly sure why we even say that, does anyone even know whether God laughs at us?

Or probably just says something nicer like aww that’s cute, but here’s something better I have in store for you.

Hmm, even I liked the sound of that better.

Okay, back to our London plans, it basically fell through like water.

You can read about that heartbreak here in my post about that trip and what ended up happening.

Soon after I returned from that winter trip in February, we wanted a London do-over and got super excited about the idea of visiting during a warmer

season and a chance to finally explore the city together.

We started planning again but humbly prayed about it also, so it became a God-willing situation.

Then one day Katherine communicated with her cousin who lives in Belgium and learned he planned to DJ a party in Paris the same weekend we would

get in. I mean, our brain wheels did not spin for too long on that idea of potentially adding another fab city to our short trip, so guess what?

We pondered about it very quickly hahaha, and within a few seconds our London trip evolved into a mini Euro trip of Paris and London.

The New Plan: party with Kat’s cousin and chill in Paris for like 2 days, then head over to London for the rest of the weekend until Monday and return

back to America Tuesday.

Oh my gosh, just try to imagine how much excitement we tried to contain for months about this greater plan to speak with a fake French accent for the

start of the weekend, then go try to decipher some British English for the rest of the weekend, so fun right?

September just seemed extremely far away at this point.

March, April and May just crawled on by, then in June my beautiful friend Michaell, who lives in California called me to catch up on life.

She’s a fashion blogger too — Kindly Follow her awesomeness here: @TheVanillaPlum

Eventually we started talking about her plans to come to New York for Fashion Week in September.

I told her I would be less active during this year’s NYFW, to properly take my time and gear up for Paris and then some London Fashion Week fun.  She’d

already experienced Paris Fashion Week but not yet London, so guess what, we immediately dreamt out loud of how cool it would be if we

experienced London’s Fashion Week together.

Long story short, I asked Kathy if Michaell can join our Euro fun and of course she said, “why not?”

Can I say, I have some pretty easy-going and loving friends who embrace my other friends even if they’ve never met, I feel blessed about that because

that’s not typically the case depending on people’s personalities. I love my friends.

And that is how our amazing mini summer fling in Europe blossomed.

————————–

September finally arrived, YAY!

Michaell landed in New York one week before we left out for Europe and I was able to make room in my tight schedule for a little bit of NYC fun.

I accompanied her to cover the fashion designer Tibi’s backstage show beauty preparation, we ate at some yummy Asian street food spot, went to a

WWD fashion conversation event with designer Tanya Taylor and others speaking; in short we just had some “fashionista fun in the city”.

But like we discussed before her arrival, I didn’t attend many events. She had fashion appointments with clients so she mainly did the hustle and bustle

covering fashion week shows and meetings, handling her fashionista duties like a total #BossBabe she is.

She totally inspires me in how she handles her business.

The weekend finally arrived and it came time to pack up for our Euro fun!

Kat and I flew on a different flight from Michaell since we booked ours together before planning for the three of us, but we planned to land at the same

airport in France within only an hour apart.

We landed in Paris, got a cab to our Parisian apartment booked, got refreshed then dived right into the first order of business, to explore the

neighborhood and grab some delicious bread or desserts from the bakery we spotted nearby.

Listen to me, you must try the pastries in France, it tastes like none other; simply fresh and delicious.

Then we got some fresh fruits and water from a local market, went home to chill and get ready to meet

up with Kat’s cousins coming from Belgium for dinner.

We hailed a cab to meet them, and I chattered with the girls as we drove past beautiful scenes, then

suddenly I got eerily quiet and sure enough, knocked the heck out haha.

This babe felt super tired and

hungry for some solid meal, anything!

Just feed me please my belly begged.

Anyhow, I got myself together once we arrived and we had a beautiful dinner, bonding like a big, fat

 extended Parisian family.

🙂

I’m already having fun.

The next day, Michaell felt a little under the weather; I mean by now she likely felt the most jet-lagged considering she flew from California to New York

and then to Europe. We gave her some time and space to rest up while Kat and I went to explore the city for a chilled Parisian day.

We took the train, went by a neighborhood sitting above the Eiffel Tower, ate at a local restaurant nearby then went on for some more spontaneous

 times together.

Paris is just breathtaking with so much to see and do.

We enjoyed the city, partied with Kat’s cousins, had delicious conversations about life over lunches and dinners,

and had a beautiful, short but romantic fling with the city.

It’s my second time in France and each visit keeps getting better.
